Question: define scalar quantity and name any five physical
quantities which are scalar quantity and give reason that why these quantity
are scalar.
Answer: scalar quantity is a physical quantity in which only
magnitude is measured and direction is not specified.
Examples of scalar quantity are Speed, Distance ,Time
,Area and Temperature .These are
scalar quantity because their direction is not specified only magnitude
is measured or required.
