Chapter -1: MATTER IN OUR SURROUNDING
Question: Why do we observe that the level of water does not change even after dissolving salt in it?
Answer: The whole universe is surrounded by material known as "matter", which is made up of small particles. When the salt are dissolved in water, the particles of salt spread throughout the space in between the water particles. Hence the level of water does not change even after dissolving the salt in it.

1) What is latent heat of fusion
The amount of heat energy that is required to change 1kg of solid into liquid at atmosphereic pressure at its melting point is known as the latent heat of fusion.
2) What is latent heat of vaporisation
Particles in the stream, have 373K(100°C) have more energy than water at same temperature. This is because particles in stream have absorbed extra energy in the form of latent heat of vaporisation.
